Web Design
We’re a Dallas Web Design company, and we build websites to help you sell products. Period. Our goals are in line with yours, and we’ll consider our work a success if it benefits your business. Our experience has culminated in a few guiding principles of design. In order of importance, they are functionality, appearance, visibility, and flexibility.
These aren’t buzzwords: these are the goals we’re keeping in mind whenever we create a website. When we talk with you about your particular needs, you’ll probably notice right away we keep on coming back to these four aspects of your site.
Functionality
If your users are confused by your site, or if aspects of it don’t work, then it’s not helping: it’s hurting. That’s why we rigorously test our sites in a wide range of browsers. We temper this all-inclusive approach with the knowledge that a few of the older browsers, notably Internet Explorer 6, simply don’t support the same functionality as all of the rest. So while we still want the site to work in that particular browser, we don’t design for it, meaning that our sites look and feel as “up to date” as possible.
We support the software used by more than 95% of internet users. Whether you’re using a Mac or a PC, and whether you’re using Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Internet Explorer (along with Konqueror, Opera, and a number of other small-user-base browers), our sites will work.

NOTE: Internet Explorer 6 is a legacy browser and does not support modern web development techniques. We do not support it because so many of the technologies that we use (including social media plugins, payment methods, etc.) simply don’t work with IE6. We recommend that anyone using IE6 should upgrade their browser here or here. If you’d like to see the percentages of people using each browser this month, you can see those statistics right here.
Appearance
We understand that your website is your virtual storefront. If it doesn’t seem safe, friendly, and, frankly, competent, then people won’t stay for long, and they won’t come back.
The sites we build follow these principles. You should be proud of your website, and if you’re not, then your customers won’t be proud to work with you.
But we also understand that not every business is the same. Some companies need a clean, crisp, professional site. Some need to be fun and friendly. Most need a combination of those two attributes (Facebook and Apple, in different ways, are companies that understand these values well and have translated that into brilliant websites). That’s why the sites we build are at your specific direction.
If you have an existing color scheme, logos, etc. that you’d like to be prominent components of your site, we’ll build your site around those. If you don’t, then we’ll create custom branding for you.
But why bore you with details? We believe our work speaks for itself. If you’d like to see some samples of our sites, you can see development samples right here!
Visibility
No site is successful without its audience. To build your audience, we work hard to maximize your rankings on Google, which currently dominates the search market. There are several methods which go into this, and all are necessary:
- Content creation: Content is king online. Even if you have a very highly-ranked site on Google, no one will find it if your content isn’t relevant. Good content means improved traffic, and regular submissions to the site are ideal for Google’s search algorithms. That’s why every site we build uses a WordPress (see the glossary for more information) backend and includes a blog.
- Keyword/tag optimization: While keywords are becoming less important to search engine, interlinking within your own site is more important than ever. We optimize your site, being sure to display tags. We follow best practices when we write content on your behalf, and we’ll also train you to do so for free if you prefer to do it yourself.
- Automated sitemap submission: We handle this on every site we build. Google knows about your site the instant any new page or post is submitted, keeping Google up to date!
- Backlink generation: Google ranks sites primarily on the amount of credibility they’re given by other sites, in the form of incoming links. While a good “ground game” for your business is vital to making this happen (real-world presence is key!), we also use relevant, local directories to add to your incoming links, building your Google ranking organically, week by week. We do this for each of our monthly clients.
A great deal of the work we do is behind the scenes. When we optimize a site, we do it for the long term. Our team specializes in white-hat Search Engine Optimization techniques (see our glossary for more on SEO)
Flexibility
The WordPress platform is the best in the industry, and we stand behind it. Each and every one of the sites we develop comes with a blog section and can be updated by anyone: no HTML expertise required.
The WordPress community is the largest single development community in the world, and it’s growing faster than any of its competitors (including Joomla, Drupal, Concrete5, and others), and it gives us the control we need to make your site look exactly how you’d like it to.
We augment WordPress with the Wireframe WordPress Framework, a rapid-development theme framework we wrote specifically for use on your site! It allows us to style a site completely from scratch while maintaining the tried-and-true functionality WordPress has to offer.
